한국문학은 세계문학일 수 있을까?

Can Korean literature be literature of the world?

본고는 최근 문단이나 학계에서 핵심논제로 떠오른 세계문학에 대해 다루고 있다. 필자는 한국에서의 세계문학담론이란 기본적으로 한국의 경제적 ‧ 문화적 팽창과 관련이 있기 때문에 ‘한국문학의 세계화’로 요약가능하다고 보았다. 그리고 그랬을 때 발생하는 본질적인 문제들을 고찰하기 위해 서로 입장을 가진 파스칼 카사노바와 가라타니 고진의 근대문학론을 비교해 보았다. 그런 후에 우리와는 정반대의 관점에서 세계문학에 접근한 오에 겐자부로의 논의를 길잡이 삼아 앞으로 전개되어야 할 세계문학론의 방향을 가늠해보았다.

This article discusses the world-literature. This is a hot topic in recent literary world. World-literature discourse in Korea is basically related to Korea's economic and cultural expansion. Therefore I think 'globalization of Korean literature' was considered to be a summary. And then to look at a fundamental problem that occurs, Pascale Casanova and Kojin Karatani's views on modern literature were compared. I received the help of Kenzaburo Oe's discussion of world-literature in a different way. And through it I thought about the future of the world-literature.
