생산운영관리 연구의 아젠다

Research in Production and Operations Management - Bibliometric Analysis -

해외 전문학술지의 경우 학술지 발표논문에 대한 계량서지학적 분석을 통하여 학술지뿐 아니라 연구자체의 과거와 현재를 조사하여 미래의 연구방향을 제시하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이에 반하여 대한민국의 대표적 생산운영관련 학술단체인 한국생산관리학회가 발간하는『한국생산관리학회지』는 창간 이래로 학술지를 통해 발표된 연구결과에 대한 계량서지학적 분석이 거의 없는 상황이다. 본 연구는『한국생산관리학회지』의 창간호부터 2011년 12월까지 발간된 총 472편의 논문을 저자유형, 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구대상 산업 분야 등을 기준으로 학술연구의 과거와 현재를 조사 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 미래의 연구방향을 제시한다. 또한 분석결과 특정 주제에 대해 연구가 미진한 부분 등이 발견되었다. 이를 토대로 기존연구의 보완되어야 할 부분과 함께 미래연구를 위한 다양한 시사점을 제시한다.

International academic associations tend to periodically publish research papers on their past and present research according to bibliometric analysis, and further present future research agenda. The Korean Production and Operations Management Society (KPOMS), the representative academic association in Korea in subject of production and operations management, has seldom published research results on their journal characteristics by systematic methods like bibliometric analysis. This study examines 472 papers published in The Journal of KPOMS from its first issue in Feb. 1990 to those in December. 2011 according to (1) author types, (2) research subjects, (3) research methods, and (4) research industries. The main purpose of this study is to suggest future research areas and some research guidelines for researchers. According to the results of this study, POM research has been developed in diverse criteria including the number of published papers with the Korean economic development and the development of KPOM itself. In additions, in spite of the importance of economy and academics, research in some areas like quality of work and environmental production has not been conducted sufficiently, and needs to be performed in the near future.
