The social concern with maximum power demand by heating and cooling systems has been growing for the last several years. In particular, large-scale power outage occurred in September 2011. The purpose of this study is compare of maximum power demand in building's heating and cooling systems. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Maximum power demand per 1usrt of electric heat pump system is the summer 1.248kw, winter 1.335kw. maximum power demand per 1usrt of gas engine driven heat pump system is the summer 0.1398kw, winter 0.1329kw. maximum power demand per 1usrt of absorption chiller-heater + constant air volume system is the summer 0.5996kw, winter 0.4590kw. 2) The result of maximum power demand per 1usrt of building's heating and cooling system, the order of viewpoint of maximum power demand was gas engine driven heat pump system, absorption chiller-heater + constant air volume system and electric heat pump system.
