Change on the Religion form Informatization and Missionary Strategy

This paper aimed to investigate relationship of information society and Buddhism, explore missionary strategy to change on the religion from informatization on the basis of systematic missionary model. This paper is composed 1) a review of related articles, 2) a prospect of the change on the religion from informatization, 3) a relationship of information society and Buddhism, 4) missionary strategy to a change on religion and systematic missionary model. The results of this study are three. The first is that the trends of informatization are individualization, networking, flexibilization, relativitization and these trends expect that cause strengthening of privatization, extension of religious network, redistribution of religious prestige, buildup of religious pluralism. The second is that missionary strategy must take environment, contents, media, the subject and the object of mission into consideration. The third is missionary strategies to informatization are making of Buddhist civil society and localization, religious community, professionalization, differentiation and solidaritization.
