지적장애인의 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인

A Study on Factors Affecting Employment of People with Intellectual Disabilities

이 연구의 목적은 직업적 중증장애라 할 수 있는 지적 장애인의 취업 및 직업재활을 위한 고용정책 수립과 직업교육에 필요한 기초정보를 얻는데 있다. 이를 위하여 한국장애인고용공단에서 실시한 「제4차 장애인고용패널조사(2011년)」에 참여한 지적장애인 190명을 대상으로 삼아 원자료를 분석하였다. 취업여부를 종속변으로, 그리고 이에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 인구사회학적요인, 장애 및 건강, 직무 서비스 경험, 직업적 능력, 차별경험, 심리적 요인을 독립변인으로 삼아 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 그 영향력을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 지적장애인의 취업에 영향을 미치는 변인은 전체 6개 요인 32개 하위 변인 중 직무 서비스 요인을 제외한 5개 요인 10개 하위 변인(‘성별’, ‘가구 내 장애인 수’, ‘기초생활보장 수급여부’, ‘현재 건강상태’, ‘일상생활 타인의 도움 필요 정도’, ‘대인관계 및 조직적응 능력’, ‘일자리에서 차별경험’, ‘일상생활 만족도’, ‘장애수용태도’, ‘심리적 안정도’)인 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과에 따라 향후 지적장애인을 위한 고용정책과 직업재활 서비스 마련을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 장애인 고용정책의 활발한 논의를 위해 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to collect basic information to establish employment policy for employment and vocational rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities. To do this, we analyzed raw data on 190 people with intellectual disabilities who participated at the 4th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(2011) conducted by Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. The dependent valuable was employment status. The independent was composed of valuables affecting employment of people with intellectual disabilities. The results of this study were as followings: The variables affecting employment of people with intellectual disabilities were ‘gender’, ‘the number of people with disabilities in household’, ‘receiving national basic livelihood security or not’, ‘current health status’, ‘levels of assistance needed for daily life’, ‘personal relation and ability to adapt in organizations’, ‘experiences of discrimination on employment’, ‘levels of satisfaction on daily life’, ‘attitudes toward accepting disability’, and ‘levels of psychological stability’. As this results discussions were supplied. At last, further research were suggested for employment and job rehabilitation of people with severe disabilities.
