민간경비원의 치안역량강화를 위한 임파워먼트 향상방안

The Empowerment Improving Plan for Enhancing the Community Safety of the Private Security Guards -At the point of Factors Influencing the Empowerment-

이 연구는 민간경비원의 임파워먼트 영향요인을 실증적으로 분석하여, 민간경비원의 임파워먼트를 향상시킬 수 있는 효율적 방안을 제시하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 선행연구를 통해 조직특성으로 보상체계, 직원개발기회, 의사결정참여, 직무특성으로 역할모호성, 역할갈등, 역할과다, 개인특성으로 자아존중감, 통제소재를 임파워먼트 영향요인으로 선택하였으며, 임파워먼트의 하위요인으로는 의미성, 역량, 자기결정성, 영향력으로 구성하였다. 임파워먼트 영향요인을 분석하기 위하여 서울, 인천 경기지역 민간 경비원들을 대상으로 2011년 9월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 설문지를 배포하여 총 248부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 조사결과는 SPSS를 통한 신뢰도 검증 및 기술통계, 상관관계, 다중회귀분석에 의해 분석되었다. 연구결과, 첫째 의사결정기회, 역할모호성, 통제소재가 전체 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 임파워먼트 하위요소별로는 의사결정기회, 역할모호성, 통제소재가 공통적으로 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 그 외에도 의미성 임파워먼트에는 보상체계와 역할갈등, 영향력 임파워먼트에는 역할갈등, 자기결정력 임파워먼트에는 역할과다도 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 향후 민간경비 조직 운영 및 관리방안에 필요한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study is made for the purpose of analyzing the influencing factors evidently to the private security guards’ empowerment. Consequently this study will offer effective ways to develop the private security guards empowerment. Throughout the previous study, we selected the influencing factors to the empowerment, as follows : organizational characteristics, job characteristics, individual characteristics. And this study was constituted of meaningfulness, competency, self-determination and influence as the sub-factors of empowerment. As the result above study, first, decision-making opportunity, role ambiguity and locus of control influenced the empowerment. Second, decision-making opportunity, role ambiguity and locus of control as the sub-factors had an effect on the empowerment commonly. Besides, compensation system and role conflict influenced meaningfulness, role conflict effected on the influential, role excess influenced self-determination. On the basis of above study result, this study suggested some necessary ideas on managing and administrating the organization of private security effectively in the future.
