청원경찰의 직무만족 결정요인에 관한 연구

A Study on the Determinants of Job Satisfaction of the Private Police Guards

우리나라는 준경찰인력으로서 청원경찰제도를 가지고 있다. 청원경찰은 국가기관 또는 공공단체와 그 관리 아래 있는 중요시설 또는 사업장, 국내주재 외국기관, 기타 중요시설ㆍ사업장 또는 장소 등의 경영자가 소요경비를 부담할 것을 조건으로 경찰의 배치를 신청하여 그 지역의 경비를 담당하게 된다. 이 연구에서는 청원경찰의 직무만족에 관한 실증적 분석을 통하여 그들의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 변수들이 무엇인가를 알아보고자 하였다. 선행연구를 근거로 직무 내용, 사회적 인정, 자기발전의 기회, 임금, 고용의 안정, 직무 자율성, 직장내 인간관계 등 총 7개의 하위척도로 구분하여 Likert 5점 척도로 측정하였다. 조사기간 및 조사방법은 2012년 2월 15일부터 3월 15일까지 150부의 설문지를 배포하여 총 105부 설문지에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 독립변수인 직무만족 결정요인이 종속변수인 전반적인 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 결과를 살펴보면, 자기발전의 기회를 제외하고, 직무내용, 사회적 인정, 임금, 고용의 안정성, 직무 자율성, 직장내 인간관계 등 모든 부문의 영향요인이 전반적 직무만족도에 미치는 영향이 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)의 영향관계를 보여주고 있다.

This purpose of this study was determinants of job satisfaction of the private police guards. A quantitative research method was employed to achieve the purpose of the study. The subject in this study were the private police guards who worked in two different major national agencies. After the research model and hypotheses were set up, a survey was conducted from Feb. 15 to Mar. 15, 2012. By handing out 150 questionnaires, and the answer sheets from total 105 respondents were finally analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package SPSS 18.0, and frequency analysis, multiple regression analysis were carried out. The findings of the study were as follows, it showed that high satisfaction with job description, wages, employment stabillity, job autonomy, and interpersonal relations of private police guards raises job satisfaction, which improvement in satisfaction with their job description is an important factor in raising job satisfaction. Consequently, the reduction of private police guards will improve wages system based on job evaluation and establish objective and fair personnel management system to create work environment in which can induce long service.
