A Suggestion on Language Diagnostic Protocol for Preschool Children in single-Parent Families

한부모가정 유아는 고유의 사회·정서적인 배경에 의해 의사소통 상에서 특유의 취약함을 드러낼 수 있으며, 이것이 장기적인 언어 문제로 확장될 위험요인이 됨에도 불구하고, 규준지향적인 표준화 검사를 통해서 이들의 차별적 특성을 밝혀내긴 어렵다. 이에 본 연구는 언어진단 및 평가를 구성하는 자발화검사를 고찰함으로써 한부모가정 유아를 위한 언어진단 프로토콜을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 일반 아동의 자발화 수집 방법을 알아보았으며, 담화 유형별 언어수행의 차이를 알아보았다. 이를 통해 한부모가정 유아가 지닐 수 있는 사회·정서적인 문제에 관련된 언어 문제를 진단할 가능성을 지닌 프로토콜을 제안하였다.

Preschool children in single-parent families may reveal unique vulnerabilities on communications owing to their social-emotional background. Although this is risk factor to extends into long-term language problems, it is difficult that their differential properties on communications are determined by norm-referenced and standardized tests. And therefore the purpose of this study was to suggest on language diagnostic protocol for preschool children in single-parent families by exploring and comparing some spontaneous language tests. There were differences in language performance among conversational discourse, narrative discourse, and expository discourse as methods of language sample elicitation in spontaneous language production of typically developing children. The findings of this review suggested diagnostic protocol that seemed to be high probability of diagnosis on language characteristics of preschool children in single-parent families.
