Seokgeon Park Hanyeong was the chief leader of a Buddhist group in the late Joseon & Japanese Occupation periods. This paper focused on his tea life and thoughts as a master of Zen poetry, with his 17 tea poems and articles. Even though no remains about his tea life have been found, Seokgeon Park Hanyeong loved tea and studied dado(tea-tao). His connection with tea was based on spiritual bonds with Chusa, Choeui, and Dasan. His tea poetry can be classified into three groups: Thinking about tea, companionship over tea, and special knowledge of tea. His article <Breakdown of Tea Customs> reproves monks not to make and drink tea regularly. He sincerely emphasizes the problem that spurious things drive away genuine things, which means we should make out valuable things and improve them properly.
