A Study for the New Methodology of Tea-poem in Korea Tea Culture

This study examined the Korea tea culture and the tradition of its features. Initially, this study focused on the figures that have been passed down in the tea culture. The tradition of tea culture was classified in terms of the recorded culture and remembered culture. In terms of recorded culture, the tea-poem composed as the subject of enjoyment while they are living was analyzed. Tea-poems are quite valuable because many researchers rely on them when examining the literature of cultural history research. When viewed with the period features in a diachronic perspective, the limitations of existing studies to analyze the context of the tradition of the tea culture were analyzed. In some studies of human activity and movement, the creators who left tea-poems that enabled one to examine the custom of the tea culture did not fully consider tradition. On the other hand, they recorded the varied history of tea culture in their poems. Therefore, this study examined the future development of a methodology in the full context of tea-poems, present trends and problems by analyzing the tea poem. Tea poems have a strong influence on the creation, change, enjoyment and transformation of culture involving human birth, path of move, or area of enjoyment and space time. This study presents the framework of a new study methodology to analyze the creator of tea poems. The range of differentiation processes, tradition and popularization of folk tea were organized by analyzing the tea creator according to their status, period and region.
