A Study on the International Trend and Security Measures of International

The demand of international air transportation IS increasing owing to the appearance of new high-priced articles, and rapidity of commodity transaction. But acts of unlawful interference in international air transportation are occurring continuously. ICAO adopted the Annex 17 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation on 22 March 1974 in order to protect the safety of person and goods against act of unlawful interference with civil aviation and re pond rapidly to meet any increased security threat. Now Annex 17 Ninth edition became effective 26 March 2011. EU adopted Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on 11 March 2008 in order to protect person and goods in air transportation within the European Union. To effectively protect person and goods in air transportation, the country concerned air transportation should cooperate with other countries and ICAO closely, strengthen training for security staffs, and minimize hinderance to trade facilitation.
