A Study on the Korea Port Industry’s Determination Factor relate to Labor Demand

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the effects of hire relate to labor, the quantity of goods transported from container each port, interest rate, production function, capital investment, per capita that have considered each population on the metropolitan region and large scale of port such as Susan' ln-cheon . Ulsan. Using the data from 1995 to 2010, analyzed elasticity that demand of labor. Applying the basic theoretical framework developed by Singh, S., A.L.Lagar, N.K.Choudhry and B. Raj (1976) and Kim( 1987), the result of the analysis reveals that interest variables reduced employment of port industry and capital investment and production technology, the quantity of goods transported from container each ports have increased demand of labors. And related demand of labor about port industries are about the quantity of goods transported from container each port, interest rate, production function, capital investment, per capita that have considered each population. And all of these variables are very significant.
