AEO 제도 운영과 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

A study on the operation and activation of the AEO programmes - Countries concluding MRA with Korea -

The purpose of this paper is to overview the AEO programmes and MRAs based on the Compendium of Authorized Economic Operator Programmes published by WCO in 2012. Also this paper reviews the framework such as the scope, type of operator, legislation and the benefits of those in focusing Canada, Singapore, USA, Japan, New Zealand concluding MRA with Korea. The main results of the study as follows: First, though the AEO programme was introduced most late, Korea has been an exemplary country in terms of establishing and operating of the programme including MRA. Second, benefits from the AEO is similar to seek trade facilitation and reduction of logistics costs. Because Korea is restricted to offer the benefits to AEO due to having the higher level of clearance system, the benefits should be explored continuously.
