2007 개정 중학교 미술 교과서에 나타난 ‘재료’의 접근 방식에 대한 분석

A Study on the 'Material' Approach Analysis of Middle School Textbooks on the 2007 Curriculum Revision

재료는 모든 조형 활동에 앞서 기본이 되어야 하는 물성 체험과 미적 앎의 토대가 된다. 미술가나 학습자의 재료에 대한 이해는 곧 미술 표현활동과 미술 작품의 감상이나 향수로 연결되기 때문에 성공적인 미술 활동을 위해서 중요하다 이에 본 연구는 2007 개정 교육과정에 따른 중학교 미술 교과서에 나타난 ‘재료’에 대한 내용 분석을 통해 학습자가 체험하려는 특별하면서 조형적인 인식 여부가 ‘재료’에 어떠한 접근 방식으로 나타나는지 알아보고자 하였다. 교과서에서 나타난 재료’의 접근 방식에는 첫째，조형요소와 원리의 설명을 위한 접근과 둘째，기법적 혹은 양식적인 접근 셋째，현대미술의 개념적인 접근，넷째，물성 체험과 실험적인 접근 방식으로 특징지을 수 있었다 이와 더불어 조형 활동의 기초가 되는 ‘재료’ 대한 직접적 체험과 확장된 개념의 이해를 기반으로 ‘재료’에 접근 하는 방식이 요구된다 학생 개개인의 조형 경험의 기회를 확대하여 다양한 물성의 경험과 적절한 테크닉을 구사하도록 하는 것이 감정과 정서를 시각화 하는데 도움이 될 것이다 그리고 재료의 탐구과정에서 습득한 교육적 경험은 삶을 풍요롭게 하는데 있어 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.

Materials are mandatory for art, and the experience of materials is important to students to express visually with their emotions and feelings. Understanding of materials is one of the important elements because it could expand diverse art studio activities and help to comprehend works of art. The purpose of this study is to figure out how the contents of materials approach to the learning of art for students. This study examines chapters titled 'material' in 2007 revised middle school art textbooks in order to find its characteristic features including recognition and approach methods of materials. Approaches to materials in the textbook are discussed as the followings. First, to explain formative elements and principles Second, to interpret techniques and styles of art Third, to consider concepts of contemporary art Fourth, to experience materials itself and use medium experimentally The discover of potentials on materials must be useful for creating art work to express one's emotions, however experiencing materials and making art works could help students to develop their creativity and deepen their experience. Therefore, in art education, materials should be used actively with students' participation. and teachers should consider making art class environment more effectively way and encourage them to find characteristics of materials in their own way.
