라디슬라프 클리마의 소설 <스테르넨호흐 공작의 고뇌> 의 분석과 철학적 경향

A Study and the Philosophical Tendency of Ladislav Kl&iacute;ma's Novella The Sufferings of Prince Sternenhoch

체코 모더니즘 소설을 대표하는 천재적인 작가 라디슬라프 클리마는 생전에 큰 빛을 보지 못하고 결핵에 걸려서 1928년 사망했다. 괴짜이며 고독한 작가 라디슬라프 클리마는 인식론적인 버클리의 이상주의와 니체의 초인사상 그리고 쇼펜하우어의 유아론의 사상에 의해 영감을 받았다. 베드리히 니체는 체코 철학가들보다 클리마 같은 작가들과 시인들, 예술가들로부터 더 찬양을 받았다. 하섹과 흐라발처럼 여러 별명을 가진 클리마는 20세기 체코 모더니즘 작가들 중에서도 가장 괴팍한 작가 군에 속한다. 그의 철학 소설과 철학 저서들은 플라스틱 피플오브 유니버스 그룹의 노래 등 공산주의 시대 지하 문학에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 그의 철학적이고 그로테스크한 소설 <스테르넨호흐 공작의 고뇌>(Utrpen&iacute; kn&iacute;&#382;ete Sternenhocha)에서 클리마는 광범위한 철학적 전망으로부터 어떻게 특별한 정신적 상태의 이미지가 발생하는지를 보여준다. 이 철학적인 소설에서 클리마의 철학 즉 에고데이즘(egodeism)과 강열한 의지(V&#367;le)와 루디브리오니즘(ludibrionism)의 개념의 자취를 분명히 찾을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 작가 클리마와 비슷한 괴짜 주인공 스테르넨호흐의 파괴적인 행동에 의해서 모더니즘 시대를 표현하는 이 소설의 분석을 통해서 풍부한 이미지들과 모티프들을 제시하고, 또 사악함, 맹목, 고뇌와 광기의 철학을 탐구한다.

Ladislav Kl&iacute;ma(1878-1928), who represents the Czech modernism novel, had a debut during literary modernism period, but he was not enough evaluated in his life time. He died of tuberculosis in 1928. He was influenced by the Subjective Idealism of George Berkeley, Solipsism of Schopenhauer and Superman of Nietzsche. Nietzsche was more admired by the Czech writers, poets and artist than Czech philosophers. Similarly to Jaroslav Ha&#353;ek and Bohumil Hrabal, also Ladislav Kl&iacute;ma with his several nicknames ranks among the most eccentric Czech writers during the twenty century modernism period. Via his philosophical writings his influence extended well into the underground literature as well as the songs of the Plastic People of the Universe during communist era. In his philosophical and grotesque novel The Sufferings of Prince Sternenhoch(1928) Ladislav Kl&iacute;ma shows, from a broad philosophical perspective, how certain images of particular mental states recur when we analyze problem areas found in literary modernism. We can find his philosophical theory such as egodeism, strong will and ludibrionism. The author of the study proposes to enrich this series of images and motives, which express the epoch of modernism, by the destructive behavior of eccentric characters. Sternenhoch, like author Kl&iacute;ma himself, and investigates a serious pursuit of the philosophy of evilness, darkness, suffering and madness.
