지적장애인거주시설 사회복지사의 윤리적 딜레마 경험

Experience of Social Workers' Ethical Dilemma at Intellectual Disability Residential Service

본 연구는 지적장애인거주시설 사회복지사의 윤리적 딜레마 경험을 이해하고자 현상학적 연구방법을 수행하였다. 충남에 있는 지적장애인거주시설 사회복지사 15명을 대상으로 심층 면접을 한 후 Colaizzi의 분석단계에 따라 분석하여, 54개의 주제, 15개의 주제묶음, 7개의 범주를 도출하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 범주는 ‘원 가정 복귀과정에서의 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘자기결정이 어려운 장애인들의 기본적인 욕구를 해결하는 과정에서의 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘장애인의 알권리와 비밀보장의 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘기관 내 구성원과의 가치관 차이에 대한 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘서비스제공의 불평등으로 인한 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘지속되는 윤리적 딜레마’, ‘윤리적 딜레마 극복을 위한 노력’ 등이었다. 본 연구결과를 통해, 장애인거주시설에 근무하는 사회복지사들이 실천현장에서 적용할 수 있는 구체적이고 명백한 윤리적 지침의 필요성을 제언한다.

This study was performed using phenomenological method in order to understand experience of social workers' ethical dilemma at Intellectual Disability Residential Service. The Data were collected through in depth interview with 15 social workers at Intellectual Disability Residential Service in Chungnam. After the interview data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method, 54 categories, 15 theme clusters, and 7 themes has been drawn. The themes were as follows, ‘ethical dilemma in the process of returning home’, ‘ethical dilemma on the solving process of the basic needs for the disabled lack of self-determination’,‘ethical dilemma between the right to know of the disabled and confidentiality’, ‘ethical dilemma due to the different values among staff’,‘ethical dilemma due to the inequality of the services’, ‘continuousness of ethical dilemma’, and ‘efforts to overcome ethical dilemma’. As the results of this study, researcher suggested on the necessity of specific and clear ethical guideline for the social workers at Intellectual Disability Residential Service.
