사이버교육에서 실재감 영향요인에 관한 연구

Study on the effect of ‘presence’ in Cyber Education

본 연구는 온라인 대규모 강좌의 실재감과 상호작용의 정도를 규명할 목적으로 사이버대학의 교육요소와 강의만족의 관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 강좌에서 실재감의 중요성을 유의적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 향후 온라인 강좌의 개발과정에서 실재감을 높이기 위한 노력이 요구된다. 둘째, 실재감 중 인지적 실재감과 감성적 실재감이 매우 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 온라인 강좌 개발 시 학습내용에 대한 이해도를 좀 더 높이기 위한 방안을 모색해야 한다. 셋째, 실재감에 영향을 미치는 요인 중 LMS 기능 활용 관련 요인이 강의 콘텐츠 관련 요인에 못지않게 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 우수한 강의 콘텐츠 개발에 대한 강조 뿐 아니라 교수자의 강의실 운영에 대한 관심도 제고되어야 할 필요성이 있다. 넷째, 실재감에 영향을 미치는 요인 중 강의 흥미로움과 학생 수준 고려 요인의 영향력이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 향후 강좌 개발 시에 강의 수강 학생의 수준과 니즈를 충분히 고려하여 흥미로운 주제와 내용을 다룰 수 있도록 노력해야 한다.

The present study analyzes the relationship between the educational factors of Cyber Education and the level of lecture satisfaction, in an attempt to define ‘presence’ of the large size lectures of on-line education and the level of interaction. The result of the analysis is as follows: First, the importance of ‘presence’ in on-line lectures was ascertained as being substantial. Second, cognitive presence and emotional presence were found to be exceedingly consequential. Third, the factor regarding the usage of LMS function, among the factors affecting ‘presence’, proved itself to be as influential as one concerning the lecture contents. Lastly, it was found that amongst the various factors making impact upon ‘presence’, the appeal of the lecture and consideration for the student level are extremely crucial elements.
