국내 학습장애 작문중재연구 분석

A Research Synthesis of Composition Interventions for Students with Learning Disabilities in Korea

본 연구는 국내에서 시행된 학습장애를 대상으로 한 작문중재연구를 수집ㆍ분석하여, 학생들의 글의 양과 질의 향상에 효과적인 중재를 확인하고자 하였다 2000년 이후부터 2012년까지 국내의 학술저널에 출간된 10편의 (준)집단설계연구와 10편의 단일대상연구, 총 20편의 연구가 분석대상으로 선정되었다. 본 연구는 선정된 연구의 일반적 특성을 살펴보고, 중재유형과 전달방법(집단크기, 중재기간)에 따라 분류하여 효과크기를 살펴보았다 분석결과, 대부분의 작문중재연구가 초퉁학교 고학년 학생들을 대상으로 하였다. 중재유형에 따라 분석한 결과. 글의 내용의 질을 향상시키는 데에는 자기조절전략과 글 구조화시키기 전략을 포함한 명시적교수와 협동교수가 효과적이었다. 글의 양을 증가시키는 데에는 글 구조화시키기, 문장 구조화시키기를 포함한 명시적교수와 사전지식제공, 워드프로세싱 전략이 효과적이었다. 중재전달방법에 있어서는 글의 내용향상을 위해서는 일대일 교수, 글의 길이향상올 위해서는 대그룹교수의 효과크기가 높았고, 중재기간에 따른 효과크기는 일관되지 않았다. 끝으로 이러한 연구결과를 중심으로 한 논의와 함께 후속연구에 대한 방향을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this review was to examine intervention studies of composition for students with learning disabilities and analyze the effects of the interventions used in those studies on improving the quality and quantity of students' writing. Twenty studies published in Korean journals between 2000 and 2012 were reviewed. This review investigated general features of the studies and effect sizes by intervention types and delivery methods such as group size and duration. The results indicated that the participants in most studies were upper-grade elementary school students. Second, explicit teaching such as self-regulation strategy and text structure instruction, and peer assistance were effective in improving the quality of students' writing. To increase the quantity of students' writing, explicit teaching such as text structure instruction and sentence structure instruction, providing prior knowledge, and word-processing strategy were effective. Third, one-on-one instruction yielded large effect sizes to improve the quality of writing; large group instruction yielded large effect sizes to increase the quantity of writing. Fourth, effect sizes by intervention duration were inconsistent across studies. Lastly, discussion and suggestions for future research were provided.
