The purpose of this study is clarifying the characteristics of research trends on the educational philosophy in Japan. I examine the Japan researchers research topics and methods based on analysis of the academic journals, Also, I try to understand the academic research environment through programs of academic conferences. This study has several implications for the studies on the educational philosophy in Korea. Firstly, that is the necessity to present a variety of research subject and method. To expand the research spectrum of philosophical studies, it is important to understand the overall research trends of the educational philosophy in other countries and fields. In recent decades the research methods as linguistic analytics, structuralism, and the logic of liberal education have been attracted many attention to overcome the limitations of the philosophical studies of education, in other countries or fields. Secondly it is necessary to foster the younger generation for the activating of the educational philosophy studies. Also we should learn how the various and wide researcher pooling system have constructed in other countries.
