다문화가족아동의 정서와 사회적응실태 연구

A Study on the Emotional and Social Adaption Condition of the Children from Multicultural Families

세계화의 경향으로 인한 결혼이민자 여성의 증가에 따라 다문화가족아동이 자연스럽게 증가하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다문화가족아동의 정서실태와 사회적응실태를 파악하고 이들과 일반아동과의 정서적 특성의 차이를 분석함과 동시에 이들의 복지욕구를 진단하여 이들의 정서적 발달과정에서 겪고 있는 문제점을 개선하기 위한 지역사회 차원의 대응방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 강서구 소재 10개 초등학교에 조사원이 직접 방문하여 다문화가족아동을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 100명의 다문화가족아동으로 부터 응답을 받아 이를 바탕으로 자료분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 다문화가족아동의 자존감은 일반아동에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 위축과 따돌림은 유의하게 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대상아동의 정서에 부모의 역할과 아동과의 관계가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 연구결과에서 나타난 다문화가족 아동들의 자아존중감을 높이고 위축감, 따돌림 현상을 막기 위해서는 다문화가족 아동의 생활공간이 학교와 가정을 포함한 지역사회로 이뤄져 있음을 고려하여 이들에 대한 지원을 크게 학교와 지역사회로 나누어 접근할 필요가 있다. 또한 부모의 역할 및 아동과의 친밀도를 높이기 위한 다각적인 노력이 병행될 필요가 있다.

The increase in married female immigrants due to the trends towards the globalization affected the number of children from multicultural families. This study examines the research on the actual condition of emotional and social adaption of children from multicultural families, and analyse the difference between general children and children from multicultural families. Therefore, we seek an effective plan to improve problems they are struggling. The surveyor visited 10 elementary schools located in Gangseo-gu and carried out a survey targeting 100 children from multicultural families. Based on this survey, we did data analysis. As a result, self esteem of children from multicultural families turned out to be higher compared with general children in Korean fammilies. But, withering and ostracism feeling of children from multicultural families are lower than Korean children. Also, parents’ role and relationship have an effect on their children's emotion. Therefore, we should support children from multicultural families dividing school and local community in order to increase their self-worth and self-esteem, and prevent from being an outcast. In addition, we should put a multilateral effort into improving parents' roles and increasing the level of closeness with their children.
