The purpose of this study is to examine college students' perception about expenditures to celebrate ‘14day’s including Valentine's Day and White Day and their purchasing satisfaction. To this end, this study looked at how much they knew about 12 ‘14day’s, their preferences, and perception about purchase of relevant goods for presents, and their expenditure patterns. The results of this study are as follows. First, college students know best about Valentine's Day in February and White Day in March among the 12 ‘14day’s. They were also the days they wanted to celebrate most. Second, in their expenditure patterns regarding the ‘14day’s, 72.4% of students had purchased relevant goods and 27% had not. Third, although the presents related to the ‘14day’s were foods, most students had purchased them at fancy stationeries or on the street. This result suggests that there is a possibility that food safety problems may occur. Fourth, most students spent no more than 20,000 won and they mostly thought it was appropriate. Fifth, mostly they did not have any plan for expenditures to purchase presents for the ‘14day’s but they utilized part of their pocket money. On the other hand, less than 15% had purchased goods with a certain plan. This means that they did not establish budgets for specific consumptions and education for reasonable consumption is necessary. Sixth, satisfaction degree for prices was lowest and satisfaction degree for packaging was highest. This is probably a result that shows a problem that excessive packaging is raising prices of products.
