초등학생의 읽기 후 질문 생성 양상에 관한 고찰

A study on the 6th elementary students' self-questioning strategies after reading

21 세기 미래 교육을 위한 핵심역량 교육과정 개발 연구가 가속화 되면서, 구성주의에 기반한 자기 주도적 학습에서 학습자의 역할이 더욱 중요하게 부각되고 있다. 구성주의 읽기관에서도 자기 주도적 독자로서 학습자의 ‘전략적 사고’를 제고하기 위한 읽기 전략의 개발과 지도에 관한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 독자의 성공적 독해에는 다양한 요인이 관여하는데, 특히 독자 생성질문은 독해 과정의 역동성과 자기조절성에 밀접한 관련이 있다. 그래서 질문 생성 전략을 지도한 일부 연구에서는 회의적인 결과를 보인 경우도 있었다. 이 연구는 독자의 자기 질문(self-questioning) 이 지닌 전략적 가치에 주목하여, 초등학생들이 글을 읽고 생성한 질문을 검토하여 질문 생성 과정에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 단서를 찾으려고 하였다. 읽기 과정에서 밑줄긋기를 수행한 학급과 중심내용 찾기를 수행하도록 한 학급이 생성한 질문을 비교한 결과, 중심내용을 찾도록 안내한 학급에 비해 주요한 내용에 밑줄긋기를 수행하도록 안내한 학급에서 중심 내용의 적절성과 질문 수준의 상관도가 매우 높게 나타났다. 따라서 글을 읽으면서 질문 생성을 하도록 하는 것보다, 학습자로 하여금 글을 읽는 동안 밑줄긋기와 같이 독해 집중을 유도하는 전략을 사용하도록 하면 독해의 깊이를 심화하면 결과적으로 질문 생성에 더 효과적일 수 있다.

21th education for future is oriented to develop the core competencies curriculum. Self-directed learning is based on constructive instruction, focus on learners' role. Reading theory based on constructive paradigm have been investigated on making learners' strategic thinking possible as self-directed reader. Successful reading is influenced by various factors, esp. learners' self-generating question is related closely the dynamic characteristics and self-control matters during reading. So, some reports showed the instruction of self-generating question had not succeeded. This Paper focus on the strategic values of students' generating questions after reading, and aims to find out the clues for reading process depth and their questions. So, two groups conducted different reading task. : during reading, one group uses underling strategy and the other uses the strategy of finding out main ideas. In underling group's questions, the appropriateness of identifying main ideas is correlated to the level/type of questions, and cloze-tests results. The types of questions are various and showed high level. Therefore, the underling strategy during reading should be recommended for better questions generating.
