A Study on the Network for Victim Support in Japan

This paper focused in reaction about the police of victims and construction of support network for victim in Japan. Unlike domestic actuality, the Japanese police led construction of the network for victim support being based to "Community organization". After that, along with improvement of the police system, support network is spread to direction that drive partnership of police and NPO gradually. However, in these circumstance, victim (except witness) who is estranged, and is surrounded in prejudice, and feels that it is no privacy, feels complaint in the police and depends on NPO. Finally, to make partnership of police and NPO smooth, it is important first of all that integrate "self-help NPO" and "volunteerism NPO". It may become one way to help effective program for partnership of police and NPO in Japan.
