On the Victimization of Children and Juveniles in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to analyzes the victimization of children and juveniles in Korea by examining the annual rates of crime from 1995 to 2005, The analysis are based on current official crime rates. We tries to review the theoretical review on the victimization of children and juveniles, to examine the aspects of the victimization of children and juveniles in Korea, and (3) to review the victimization prevention policy on the victimization of children and juveniles. The data that we have analysed here were obtained from official crime statistics, 'Analytical Report on Crime', which is published quarterly by the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office in Korea. In this study, we has reviewed the crime trend of the victimization of children and juveniles in our society since 1995. And we wish this study to contribute to the understand and explanation of the victimization of children and juveniles in our society. From our study, it is implied that future research should attempt to develop a more considerable model on the victimization of children and juveniles and to elaborate the measures on the major concepts and analysis methods.
