아버지의 언어반응 유형에 관한 연구

A Study on Father's Verbal Response Types

본 연구의 목적은 아버지들이 자녀 양육에서 경험하는 4가지의 상황들 즉, 자기성취, 형제간 싸움, 떼쓰기, 소외 속에서 자녀들과 사용하는 언어적 반응 유형을 살펴봄으로써 자녀와의 효율적인 의사소통에 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구대상은 어린이집에 다니는 만 3~5세 유아를 둔 5명의 아버지들을 선정하였으며, 서울시에 소재한 P어린이집 원장실에서 2012년 11월 17일 오전 10시에서 12시까지, 자료분석은 질문지, 심층면담, 면담노트, 녹화 등의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 자녀가 성취한 상황에서는 칭찬과 같은 촉진적 언어반응을, 형제간 싸움에서는 공감과 같은 촉진적 언어반응을, 떼쓰기 상황에서는 화제 바꾸기와 같은 무관심 언어반응을, 소외된 상황에서는 촉진적 언어반응 유형인 격려와 공감을 가장 많이 사용하였다. 아버지가 효율적인 언어반응 양식을 사용할 수 있도록 구체적인 칭찬법과 함께 공감교육에 관한 연구 및 프로그램이 개발되어야 한다고 논의하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to provide basic materials for effective communication skills between parent and child by investigating father's verbal response types in his conversation with his child under such situations as self-achievement, sibling quarrel, nagging and isolation. For this research five fathers with children ages 3 to 5 were selected and interviewed from 10 to 12 A..M. on Nov. 17, 2012 in the director's room at P day care center in Seoul. For material analysis questionnaires, in-depth interview, interview note, recording were used. According to the result of this research, fathers tend to use stimulating verbal response types like praise in the situation of self-achievement; stimulating verbal response types like empathy in the situation of sibling quarrel; indifference response types like changing topic in the situation of nagging and lastly, stimulating verbal response types like encouragement and empathy in the situation of isolation. The result of this paper is to lead to discuss, for effective verbal response of father, methods and programs as to detailed praise strategies and empathy education.
