다문화가정유아의 사회적 능력 향상을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 효과 연구

A Study on Developing Social Competence Improvement Program and its Effects on Children from Multi-Culture Family

본 연구는 다문화가정 유아들이 유아교육기관에서 긍정적인 또래 관계를 통해 사회적 능력을 증진시키고 다양한 문화에 대한 이해를 증진시켜 기관에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 다문화가정 유아의 사회적 능력향상 프로그램을 개발하고, 본 프로그램이 다문화가정 유아의 사회적 능력 향상에 효과가 있는가를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 경북 Y시의 어린이집에 다니는 만 4,5세 유아 20명을 대상으로 사회적 능력 향상 프로그램을 주 2회 총 16회를 진행하였다. 연구결과 다문화가정 유아의 사회적 능력 향상 프로그램은 사회적 능력의 하위변인 중 정서성 요인을 제외하고 정서조절, 또래관계기술, 사회적 규범 이해 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 이러한 결과는 다문화가정 유아의 사회적 능력 향상 프로그램은 다문화가정 유아의 사회적능력 향상에 효과가 있으며, 유아교육현장에서 적용가능하다는 것을 의미한다.

I analyze the effect of social competence improvement program on children from multi-culture families. The program aims for developing their adaptability to early childhood education institutions by improving social competence and understandings on diverse culture through positive peer relations. Social competence improvement program was implemented twice a week, total 16 times, on 20 infants attending nurseries located in Y city, Kyeongbuk. The result shows that the program has positive effects on improvement of regulation of emotion, peer relations skill, comprehension of social norms except emotionality. This implies social competence improvement program is available on improving social competence of children from multi-culture families and applicable in classroom.
