The Effects of Meister School Programs on Students’ Academic Self-Efficacy, Self-directed Learning attitude, and School Satisfaction

본 연구는 학업적 자기효능감, 자기주도적 학습태도, 학교 만족도에 대한 마이스터고의 학교효과를 일반고 및 특성화고와 비교의 관점에서 탐색하는데 있다. 2010년부터 3년에 걸쳐 마이스터고 11교 일반고 11교 특성화고 11교에 재학했던 학생 중 2,571총 명(마이스터고 853명 일반고 854명 특성화고 864명)의 학생을 표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 즉, 3시점 유사종단 자료를 구축하고 다층모형 분석을 수행하였다 학업적 자기효능감의 경우, 2010년 개교 당시 마이스터고 집단은 일반고 집단과 비슷하고 특성화고 집단보다 높은 수준이었다. 그러나 이후 3년 동안 마이스터고 집단의 학업적 자기효능감은 일반고 집단보다 높은 수준의 성장률을 보였고 2012년에는 일반고 집단보다 높은 수준이었다. 자기주도적 학습태도의 경우, 마이스터고 집단은 2010년 입학 당시 일반고 집단과는 차이가 없었지만 특성화고 동료들 보다는 높은 수준이었다 이후 년 동안 비교 집단보다. 성장률에서 차이를 보일 만큼 눈에 띄는 성장은 없었다 학교 만족도에 있어서는 마이스터고 집단은 3개교 당시부터 일반고 동료들과 비슷하고 특성화고 집단보다 높은 수준이었다. 그러나 년 동안 마이스터고 학생들의 학교 만족도 성장률은 일반고 동료들의 학교 만족도 성장률 보다 높았다. 마지막으로 2010년 초기상황을 통제했을 때, 위의 세 종속 변인에 대한 마이스터고의 학교수행 효과는 사라졌다.

In order to examine the effects of the Meister school programs on students’ academic self-efficacy, self-directed learning attitude, and school satisfaction, this study compared the growth of outcome variables for three years among students from three different school types - Meister, vocational, and general high schools. Samples include 853 Meister students, 854 general high school students, and 864 vocational students from across the nation. Multi-level modelling was conducted to find the effects of the Meister school programs on outcome variables. The study found no difference on academic self-efficacy between Meister and general high school students in 2010 when Meister schools were established. However, the growth of academic self-efficacy of the Meister students was greater than that of general high school students during the period 2010-2012. The same holds true for school satisfaction. Meister students had a higher level of self-directed learning attitude compared to two comparison groups, but there were no differences on the growth of self-directed learning attitude among three groups.
