This research was intended to investigate the effect of the 5 day immersion program at Daegu Gyeongbuk English Village on lower income bracket-students’ English learning and suggest improving the support for them. The results of the survey that total 455 students and their parents participated in showed that the lower income bracket-students had been affected positively than the higher income bracket ones in the aspects of English skills and attitudes, especially in speaking skill and interest of English. These results suggest that the support for English learning of the lower income bracket-students should be strengthened through more and better opportunities to the English Village, which leads to reduce the educational gap and realize the educational welfare.
