This study is on Levick Emotional and Cognitive Art Therapy Assessment(LECATA). LECATA is useful in identifying normal developmental levels of emotional coping skills and academic performance in relationship to age. The current LECATA is utilized as assessment tools for the students at Miami-Dade County Public Schools Clinical Art Therapy Program. LECATA has some original characteristics. First, it secure objectivity and minimize the range of mistake as an assessment tools of five drawing task. Second, it is a comprehensive analysis of five drawing tasks based on graphic forms for cognitive and emotional assessment. Two case study on LECATA(pre test-retest after one year) was proved LECATA' utilizing. Ego defense mechanisms of two case was isolation and isolation of affect. Indicators of isolation was objects drawn singly on a page and object drawn without a ground line or a background. Also, indicators of isolation of affect was object drawn in pencil or one color and object drawn with inconsistent or erratic use of color. Finally, this study on LECATA is desired to being utilize LECATA for students' mental health in school system.
