The Current Situation and Outlook for the Collaborative Supply Chain Finance Solution under ICC/SWIFT

This paper is to review the solution for he collaborative Supply Chain Finance of ICC/SWIFT and look ahead the trade future of trade finance under Supply Chain Finance environment. SWIFT and ICC(the International Chamber of Commerce) collaborate on the rules and tools for trade finance in an automated and secured environment. the SWIFT and ICC have developed the Bank Payment Obligations as a new solution for Supply Chain Finance. The partnership between the ICC and SWIFT will improve a global trade finance practices by establishing inter-bank practices based on electronic trade environment. The BPO solution supported by ICC-BPO rules will increase processing efficiency such as improved transaction times, reduced cost, improved cash-flow and others. Therefore, It is believed that the BPO will play an important role in the growth of Supply Chain Finance. This study will be based on documentary research including swift com and icc.org and so on.
