A Study of The Korean Adaptation Novel of the Ming Dynasty Historical Novel <SeoHanTongSokYeonYi(西漢演義)>

Since Ming dynasty historical novel <SeoHanYeonYi> is introduced into Joseon dynasty, a different version has created by chinese manuscript, korean manuscript, the korean printed type old novel. This study is compared <SeoHanYeonYi> with a different version, considered remake aspect and aspect of acceptance. Chinese manuscript version <YuAkGyuGam(&#24119;幄龜鑑)> and Korean manuscript version <ChoHanSilGy(楚漢實記)>is a adapted feature length story of <SeoHanYeonYi>. This two version was to edit and modify according to the author's intent. The korean printed type old novel is divided into ‘Character edition type’, Narrative reduction type', ‘Scene emphasis type’. <ChoPeaWangSilGi(楚覇王實記)>, <HangWuJeon(項羽傳)>, <ChoHanJeonJeangSilGi (楚漢戰爭實記)> is a character edition type novel set HangWu as a hero. <JangJaBangSilGi(張子房實記)> is a same type novel set JangJaBang as a main character. <ChuHanJeon(楚漢傳)> is a narrative redution type novel favorable attitude while adhering to the process of founding the Han dynasty. <HongMunYeon(鴻門宴)>, <HangJangMu(項莊舞)> is a scene emphasis type novel express HongMunYeon scene. HongMunYeon scene is the popular scene and the highest dramatic tension scene of <SeoHanYeonYi>. So editor select HongMunYeon scene more dramatic by increasing the tension created by the work of one. In around the 16th century, Ming dynasty historical novel is flowing into JoSeon dynasty and these works are translated or transcribed into circulation. In the 20th century, Ming dynasty historical novel is adapted by the korean printed type old novel. This process shows the appearance that the original work is created new work.
