사무직 근로자의 창의적 성향, 직무스트레스와 우울의 관계

The Relations of Creative Disposition, Occupational Stress & Depression

본 연구에서는 직장인을 대상으로 창의적 성향과 직무관련 하위 차원별 스트레스 및 우울정도를 측정하고, 이들의 관계를 탐색하였다. 분석 결과 사무직 근로자의 창의적 성향은 직무스트레스와 -.14～.11의 부적 상관을 나타내었고, 우울과는 -.08의 비교적 낮지만 유의미한 부적 상관을 나타내었다. 우울에 영향을 미치는 직무스트레스 하위 차원과 창의적 성향 하위 요인에 대한 회귀분석결과, 직장인들의 우울점수에 영향을 미치는 직무스트레스 하위 차원은 ‘직장문화’ ‘보상부적절’ ‘조직체계’ ‘직무불안정’ ‘물리적 환경’ 등에 의한 스트레스로 나타났다. 또한 우울에 유의한 영향을 미치는 창의적 성향은 인지적 측면의 ‘성향(사고)’ 차원이었다. 창의적 성향 중 정의적인 성향(특성)차원은 유의한 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 비록 비교적 낮은 설명력을 갖지만 창의적인 사고가 직장인의 직무스트레스에 부적인 영향을 미치므로 조직 내 창의적 사고력의 중요성에 대해 인식을 새롭게 할 필요가 있다. 조직 구성원들의 창의적 사고력 증진을 위한 다양한 프로그램의 도입과 참여활동을 통하여 정신건강 증진의 부수적 효과를 기대할 수 있는 지에 대해 검토할 필요가 있다.

Does a creative thinking have the moderating effect on occupational stress and depression? It has been tacitly consented that creative thinking people are more able to cope with stress or less depressed and have less suicidal thoughts than those who did not. Is there relevance of creative disposition of individuals who have creative thinking to stress and depression? This paper explores what the relevance is and what the impact is if any. To this end, we have measured the severity of, job-related depression and job stress for administration workers at a hospital and examined their relationship. We also have analyzed job stress affecting depression and the sub-areas of creative disposition. As a result, it turned out that creative disposition has the negative correlation of -.14 to -.11 with job stress analysis. In a while, creative disposition and depression have a relatively low but significant negative correlation of -.08. The multiple regression analysis of the sub-domain of the job stress on depression and the sub-factor of creative disposition showed that the job stress affecting on the depression of workers was exhibited as stresses on discomfort in occupational climate, lack of reward, organizational injustice, job insecurity, and difficult physical environment. We found that creative disposition significantly affecting depression was mostly cognitive aspects of creative thinking. No significant effect was observed on the affective aspects among creative disposition.
