일반대학원 교육학 교육의 현황과 과제

Current Status and the Future Tasks on the Program of Education in the Graduate School

본 연구는 일반대학원 교육학 교육의 현황과 성과를 살펴보고 그 동안 이루어진 일반대학원의 교육학 교육의 문제를 분석하여 향후 대학원 교육학 교육의 개선과제를 모색하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 활용가능한 국가통계(대학정보공시, 교육통계)와 관련 문헌 및 홈페이지 분석을 통하여 일반대학원 교육학과 교육의 현황과 과제를 분석하였다. 먼저 현황에서는, 투입 측면에서 교육목표와 전공구성, 석․박사 재학생수, 전임교원 1인당 학생 수지표가 크게 개선되었고, 과정 측면에서 전공구성, 교과목, 학사관리, 전임교원 강의담당 비율, 교수1인당 연구실적 등이 개선되었음을 확인하였다. 산출 측면에서는 석․박사 학위취득자수, 교수 연구실적은 증가하였으나 취업률은 하락하였고, 중도탈락률은 일반대학원 전체 수준과 비슷한 것으로 분석되었다. 문제점으로는, 투입측면에서 충원의 어려움, 대학원 독자운영체제 미흡, 외국대학원 진학 경향, 교육학 교육에 대한 요구와 만족도 조사 미흡 등을, 과정측면에서는 교육과정의 동형화, 질 관리 미흡 등을, 산출 측면에서는 인력수급 불일치, 진로 불확실, 성과조사시스템 미비 등이 분석되었으며, 이러한 문제진단에 근거하여 해결을 위한 개선과제를 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 일반대학원 교육학 교육의 발전과제로 우수학생 모집을 위한 체계적 진로교육 및 홍보, 사회 및 수요자자의 요구를 반영한 교육프로그램의 방향 정립, 효과적 교수-학습방법 연구 및 실천, 자체적인 질관리 체제 구축, 협력적 학습공동체 구축 등을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to review the status and outcomes of the program of education in the graduate school in order to provide future tasks for improving the program. This study has evaluated 181 Korean graduate schools by utilizing the national data of 2012 which has been provided on the website(http://www.academyinfo.go.kr). This national data provides the official information about universities(and graduate schools). Through a comprehensive literature review, three input variables, four process variables and four output variables were chosen and analyzed. Also the policies and system for the graduate school in education reviewed. The main findings of this study are as follows; First, in the status, the graduate program of education had made a remarkable growth as a whole, except employment rate. Second, some problems were found in the process of the graduate program of education, such as brain-drain in students, hollowization of program, manpower demand and supply mismatch and so on. Lastly, this study provided substantial guidance and future tasks for improving the graduate program of education.
