Practical Implications of Korean College Students’ Perspectives on Computer-Assisted English Learning

This study aims to investigate how computers are used by English language learners. This study involves 84 EFL college students who responded to a survey about their use of computers and opinions on the use of computers. Students’ responses were analyzed across gender to identify possible patterns in their opinions in order to find out whether the two groups exhibit different propensities. Also, students’ open-ended responses were categorized by similar opinions. The results include students’ inclinations towards using computers for studying English and plausible explanations on the categories of students’ answers. Implications of students’ responses and future research recommendations are also discussed.
