EBSe 프로그램을 활용한 초등학교 영어쓰기 학습효과

The effect of using EBSe on the improvement of elementary school students’ writing abilities

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the internet program of EBSe on the improvement of sixth graders’ writing abilities. For this study, an experimental group and a control group with fifty-two students of the same writing abilities were selected based on the pre-assessment result. Writing lessons were given for twelve weeks in the extra-curricular class. The experimental group were provided with the EBSe contents through the e-class. The control group, however, carried out the worksheets which were developed based on the English textbook. The results show that there was a meaningful positive change of writing abilities for the experimental group, while not for the control group. In conclusion, the elementary English class using EBSe has proved effective in developing the writing abilities of sixth grade elementary English students. The method of instruction for writing, using EBSe, which has a step-by-step guidance game program and interaction through the internet contributes to the improvement of their writing ability by giving students the chance at self directed learning.
