A Study on International Case for Improvement of Policy on the Low Carbon Green City

In recent times, the world-wide various nations is carrying out low carbon and green growth policy in order to overcome the global warming which follows in climate change and the world economy crisis which follows. In particular, after the Kyoto Protocol to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was declared, the low carbon society was inevitable phenomenon. Since the Post-Kyoto Protocol is expected to include Korea as a nation of obligation reduction of carbon emission, the country has to consider the environmental issue as a national priority. According to this global trend, in the celebration speech of the Independence Day in 2008, the president declared the vision of green growth as a national agenda of Korea. In order to build up a zero-carbon city, therefore, this paper will deal with political implications by analyzing foreign examples.
