Result: The mean score of subjects' HbAlc level was 8.83% and subjects' degree of knowledge about insulin injection was found to be low. The mean score of self-care was 68.28 points out of 105, the mean score in each sub-item was 3.25 points out of 5. A high degree of self-care patients were lower levels of HbAlc. Conclusion: The mean score of subjects HbAlc level (8.83%) was higher than the recommended levels (7%) among diabetic patients. Patients' self-care was better, blood glucose control was found to be good and HbAlc level was low. Provision for education on self-care among diabetic patients as well as enhancing their knowledge and skills on insulin management is of prime importance. Furthermore, the establishment and development of effective diabetes education program is highly recommended.
