A Study on the Effective Management of International Transit Cargo

Trade volumes have increased by proliferation of Regional Trade Agreement, such as FTA Increasing of trade volumes involves increasing of international transit cargo. Increasing of international transit cargo has resulted in many problems i.e. infringement of intellectual property rights, violation of the country of origin regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to control international transit cargo effectively. Effective control methods of international transit cargo are as follows ; Firstly, customs authority have to make procedures related to issuing of certification for proving simple transshipment or the storage of the originating products in the third countries under the control of customs authority. These will make help to attract transshipment cargoes. Secondly, customs authority should reinforce control of transshipment cargoes. Thirdly, transit country is necessary to cooperate with origin country for sharing of transit cargo data.
