This study investigates how culture-related intermediate inputs affect industrial production and export. For this, we suggest the cultural industrialization index which we get in the Unit Structure of the input-output analysis and make an empirical test on the effect of culture-related intermediate inputs on industrial production and export using panel data. The results show that, in the period of 1995-2009, cultural industrialization index has increased and in particular, culture-related service inputs have played an important role in the interaction among industries. The intermediate input of culture-related materials was larger than that of culture-related services in 1995. However, we can find out the intermediate input of culture-related services has been larger than that of culture-related materials and the culture-related services are going to be an important factor in industrial production since 2000. The results of empirical test on the effect of culture-related intermediate inputs on production and export suggest that culture-related manufacture intermediate inputs have positive and meaningful effect on export as well as industrial production. In particular, we made certain that the effect of intermediate input of culture-related manufacture and service on production and export is differ from industry to industry. These results carry an important meaning of evidentiary material on cultural innovation-driven growth strategy.
