The purpose of this paper is to show the brief empirical measurement way of clustering by using the cross efficiency model with general DEA model under input oriented CRS(constant returns to scale) and VRS(variable returns to scale) condition for 12 world container seaports in 2012 data for 4 inputs(berth, depth, total area, and number of crane) and 2 output(TEU and variation rate of cargo handling). The main empirical result of this paper is that both super-BCC model and cross-efficiency with corelation coefficient model have the same clustering results among Sanghai with Roterdam, Busan with Dubai, Kaohsiung with Dubai, Tokyo with Dubai, Hongkong with Dubai, Ningbo with Qingdao ports. The containerport policy planners should introduce and consider the cross efficiency model for clustering with the international seaports which can enhance the efficiency and the competition power of Korean seaports.
