특수교육대상 유아의 신체활동관련 국내 연구 동향 분석

A Review of Research on Physical Activities for Children with Disabilities in Domestic Journals from 1994 to 2012

본 연구는 1994년부터 2012년까지 국내의 특수교육 대상 유아의 신체활동 관련 논문들을 비교분석하여 신체활동 관련 논문들의 현황과 연구동향을 알아보는 데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 분석 대상 논문은 1994년 특수교육진흥법에서 특수교육 대상자의 특성에 맞는 교육을 실시할 것을 표명한 이후 지금까지 발표된 특수교육 대상 유아의 신체활동지도와 관련된 논문 45편이었으며, 이들 논문을 연구목적, 연구방법, 통합상황과 관련된 연구, 연구제언의 유형, 출판된 학술지 종류 등의 기준으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 논문들의 연구목적 면에서는 사회적 상호작용 증진이 많았고, 연구방법 면에서는 실험연구가 주를 이루는 등 연구들이 대부분 한 부분으로 치우친 경향을 보였다. 하지만 특수교육 대상 유아들의 특성과 전인교육이라는 신체활동의 목적을 고려한다면 연구의 목적과 방법을 다양화하고 영역을 확대할 필요가 있다. 또 특수교육 대상 유아들을 교육에 참여시킬 방법, 그리고 이에 대한 지원과 물리적 환경 조성과 관련된 연구도 활발하게 이루어져야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze research on physical activities for children with disabilities, published in domestic articles from 1994 to 2012. Since 1994 and the passage of the Law of Special Education, attention has been drawn to the field of special education and to educating children with disabilities according to their strengths and weaknesses. This study considers 48 articles published between 1994 and 2012, which were selected based on criteria including the purpose of the research, the methods used, the sorts of physical activities discussed, their relation to inclusive education, the type of journal and the nature of the suggestions made. The results of this study reinforce the need for increasing research on physical activities for children with disabilities. Most research, especially experimental research, has been focused on increasing social interaction; however, there is a need for more diverse types of research on physical activities for children with disabilities, as well as on teachers, environments and the development of physical activity programs.
