본 연구는 초등학교 영재아동의 정서지능 변인에 따른 아동이 지각한 부모양육태도 및 진로성숙도와 함께 이들 간의 상관관계를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 초등학교 단위학교 영재학급 5-6학년 학생 104명을 대상으로 정서지능 검사, 자녀가 지각한 부모양육태도 검사, 진로성숙도 검사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 초등학교 영재아동은 정서지능 수준에 따라 부모양육태도에 대해 지각하는 수준과 정도에서 차이를 나타냈으며 정서지능 수준에 따라 진로성숙도에도 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또한 영재아동이 지각한 부모양육태도와 진로성숙도의 상관관계에서도 정서지능의 수준에 따라 그 양상에서 차이가 나타났다.
The purpose of the present study is to investigate the difference on perceived parental attitudes and career maturity of elementary gifted children and to analyze the relationship between the perceived parental attitudes and the career maturity according to the level of emotional intelligence. For this purpose, 104 students who were 5th and 6th grade students from a gifted students' classes in elementary school located in Seoul were asked to take a test to measure emotional intelligence, a test to measure the perceived parental attitude and a test to measure career maturity. After analyzing the data, there are differences in the degree and the level of perception of the parental attitudes and significant differences in the career maturity according to the level of emotional intelligence. There are also differences in the correlation between the children's perceived parental attitudes and the career maturity according to the level of emotional intelligence. Results indicate that rather than simply separating gifted children from average children to see what the differences are, it is needed to find an investigative method with a many-sided view that considers even the intrinsic factorial variables that comprehend fairy the different aspects of each of them.
