모성 이미지의 조형성 연구

A Study of Formativeness on the Motherhood Images by the Cubism

대지가 모든 생명의 근원이듯이 어머니는 인류 생명의 근원이다. 본 연구에서는 모성을 소재로 하여 독창적인 작품을 전개하기 위해 외형적으로 보여 지는 모성의 이미지뿐만이 아닌 근원적인 모성의 이미지에 대한 탐구와 해석을 하였다. 모성의 근원적인 이미지에 대한 탐구와 표현을 위해 큐비즘(Cubism) 표현양식의 특성을 연구하였다. 그리고 큐비즘 작가들의 작품분석을 통해 큐비즘 표현양식을 도출하고 활용하여 모성의 본질을 단순화시켜 조형언어로 표현하였다. 이러한 연구를 위해 모성에 관한 시대적 고찰과 작품의 형태적 근거로 큐비즘에 나타난 모성작품을 분석하였다. 큐비즘은 원시주의(Primitivism)에 뿌리를 두고 있으며 큐비즘의 작가들은 대상의 본질을 단순화시켜 기하학적인 형태와 이중적인 공간을 제시하고 복수시점으로 대상을 표현하고 있다. 큐비즘의 영향을 받은 작품들 속에서 보여지는 이러한 특징들 중에서 본 연구자는 후안 그리의 구를 이용한 조합과 아르키펭코의 빛을 이용한 이중적인 공간을 제시하였다. 또한 대상의 본질을 단순화시키고 조각으로 분해해서 공간과 양감을 표현하는 방식으로 본 연구자의 작품에 투사하여 제작하였다. 표현양식에 있어서 입방체의 표현, 분해된 조각들의 면 구성, 그리고 구멍을 조형적 요소로 표현하였다. 이처럼 큐비즘 표현양식의 특징을 살려서 작품을 제작해 보니 기존의 작품과는 전혀 다른 느낌을 가지게 되었다. 이전 작품에서 표현된 모성이 가지는 부드러운 이미지가 큐비즘 표현양식을 통해 도회적이고 활기차고 다이나믹한 분위기로 표현되었다. 모성의 이미지를 본 큐비즘의 표현양식을 통해 조형언어로 표현함에 있어 본 연구에서는 큐비즘 작가의 작품들 중에서도 본 연구와 적합하다고 여겨지는 작가와 작품으로 연구범위를 제한하였고 점토와 목재를 이용하여 작품을 제작하였다. 이상과 같은 연구에 있어서 큐비즘 표현양식을 도입한 모성의 이미지 표현연구는 본 연구자에게 외형적으로 보여 지는 모성을 넘어서 보다 근원적인 모성의 이미지 탐구와 모성의 근원적인 이미지에 대한 통찰과 표현방식에 관해 창의적인 접근을 할 수 있게 해 주었다.

I studied the characteristic of the Cubism style for a search and the expression for the motherhood original image. I derived Cubism style through the work analysis of Cubism painters and I let I utilized the work and simplify motherly essence and expressed it in formative language. I did historical consideration about the motherhood for such a study, and analyze did the motherhood work which appeared in Cubism by the form of the work. Cubism puts a root in Primitivism. And painters of Cubism let you simplify target essence and show geometric form and duality of the space and express an object in Multiple viewpoint. In such characteristics to see in a work affected by Cubism, the researcher who watched it showed duality of the space which used light of Archipenko and combination which used sphere of Juan Gris. It limited a study range with a work with the painter who seemed to be the study that I watched in Cubism painter work in suitability. I worked with clay and wood. An imaginative approach was able to do such trial with an insight. The insight is able to express the motherhood original image.
