12∼14개월 영아의 어린이집 초기 적응과정에 관한 관찰연구

An Observational Study on 12∼14 Month-Toddlers' Early Adjustment in a Child Care Center

본 연구는 12∼14개월 영아 5명을 대상으로 어린이집 초기 적응과정에 관한 문화 기술지 연구이다. 인천지역 어린이집 영아반 초기 적응프로그램의 현황 조사 과정을 거쳐 전형적인 영아반 초기 적응프로그램을 진행하고 있는 두리 어린이집을 선정하고 만 0-1세 반인 꼬꼬반을 대상으로 하였다. 12∼14개월 영아들의 적응과정을 보다 세심하게 관찰하기 위해 연구자는 두리 어린이집의 꼬꼬반에 보조교사로서 2012년 3월 5일부터 9월 6일까지 참여관찰을 하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 생후 12∼14개월 영아들의 어린이집 초기 적응과정을 영아의 사회적 관계, 놀이, 일과 적응의 변화로 나누어 관찰함으로써, 다른 연령의 영아들과는 어린이집 적응과정에 있어서 차별성을 두어야 한다는 프로그램적 제언점을 제시한 것에 있다. 이 연구 결과는 12∼14개월 영아에게 특화된 어린이집 초기 적응프로그램을 구성하는데 의미 있는 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.

This study is to examine 12∼14 month-toddlers' early adjustment process in a child care center. The researchers conducted observational study to understand how the toddlers interact with new environment and how their play and daily routine develop in a child care center. After the researchers survey early adjustment program of child care centers in Incheon, The researchers choose Doori child care center which practiced desirable early adjustment program. Serving as a assistant teacher in the classroom, the researcher observed 5 toddlers from March 5, 2012 to september 6, 2012. To analyse their early adjustment process from the perspectives of the shifts of their social relationships, play, daily routine in a child care center, the researchers generate the observation notes and categorize in those three. From this study the researchers suggest that 12∼14 month-toddlers need to be have particular early adjustment program appropriate for their age group. These results provide important preliminary data to form early adjustment program specialized for 12∼14 month-toddlers.
