부모의 양육신념과 유아의 정서조절 행동

Parent parenting beliefs and children emotional regulation behavior

본 연구는 부모의 양육신념에 따른 유아의 정서조절 행동에 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위한 목적에서 이루어졌다. 연구문제는 유아의 연령과 성별에 따라 유아의 정서조절 행동 및 부모의 양육신념에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보는 것과 부모의 양육신념 정도에 따라서 유아의 정서조절 행동에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보는 것이었다. 연구대상은 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 226명과 그들의 부모였다. K시와 S시에 소재한 4곳의 어린이집과 유치원에 설문지를 배부하였고 부모님은 양육신념에 대한 질문지와 유아정서조절 행동 질문지에 각각 응답을 하도록 하였다. 연구결과는 유아의 연령 및 성별에 따라서 유아정서조절 행동에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연령에 따라서 점차적으로 유아들의 정서조절 행동이 발달하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며 연령에 따라 3세와 5세 집단 간에 의미 있는 차이가 나타났다. 성별에 따라서는 여아가 남아보다 정서조절 행동이 더 발달해 있음을 보여주었다. 화 좌절 행동에서는 연령 및 성별 간 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 통제적 노력 행동에서는 연령에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3세집단과 4,5세 집단 간에 차이가 나타났으며 성별에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 양육신념에서는 연령에 따른 차이는 있으나 성별에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 어린유아를 둔 부모일수록 환경 주의적 신념보다 성숙 주의적 신념을 더 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 양육신념 정도에 따른 유아의 정서조절 행동에서는 화 좌절 행동에서 의미 있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고 통제적 노력행동에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the parenting beliefs of the parents of a child on emotional regulation behaviors of the child. The following research questions were addressed: 1) Do emotional regulation behaviors of a child depend on the child's age or sex? 2) Do parenting beliefs of the parents of a child depend on the child's age or sex? 3) Do emotional regulation behaviors of a child depend on the parenting beliefs of the child's parents? The subjects were children aged 3 to 5, and their parents. A total of 226 children(109 boys and 117 girls) were selected from 4 different preschools located in two different cities. Parenting belief questionnaires and childhood emotional regulation questionnaires were distributed to the parents of these 226 children. The results reveal that while the emotional regulation behaviors of a child depend both on the age and sex of the child, the parenting beliefs of the parents depend only on the child's age and not on sex. The results also reveal that while some emotional regulation behaviors such as angerㆍfrustration depend on the parenting beliefs of the parents, other emotional regulation behaviors such as prohibited control effort do not.
