교육연극을 활용한 성매매예방교육 프로그램 개발

Developing educational theater programs for prevention of prostitution for middle-school students

청소년성매매가 온라인으로 주로 이루어지고 있다는 점은 청소년성매매의 음성화 현상에 대한 대안과 함께 사전예방교육의 필요성을 강하게 요구한다. 현재 의무화되어 있는 성매매예방교육은 학교로 한정되어 있어 탈학교 청소년들에게는 기회가 주어지지 않을 뿐 아니라 학교교육 역시 연1회 1시간가량 일방적 주입식의 교육으로 이루어지고 있기 때문에 얼마나 예방효과를 발휘할 수 있을지에 대해서는 의문이다.이에 본 연구에서는 기존의 교육방식에서 탈피, 교육의 효과성을 보다 높일 수 있는 방안으로 교육연극을 활용한 예방교육 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다. 총 7회기의 이 프로그램은 중등학교에서 학급별로 진행할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 주요내용은 일상생활 깊숙이 자리 잡은 성의 상품화와 성 산업의 요소들을 발견하여 이를 비판하며, 성매매 경험을 한 또래들이 다시 재 유입되지 않도록 도와줄 수 있는 방법을 모색하고, '아르바이트'와 '놀이'를 가장한 수많은 성매매의 유혹 속에서 올바른 선택을 할 수 있는데 필요한 정보 및 자기주장능력을 키울 수 있도록 하였다. 성매매예방교육이 성과를 볼 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 학생들의 성적 주체성 정립을 위해 성평등적 관점에 대한 교육, 성문화와 성문제에 대해 비판적으로 사고할 수 있는 훈련 등을 제공해 주어야 하며, 학생들의 일상에 침투해 있는 여러 유해환경들의 범위를 확대하여 유입통로를 적극적으로 차단시키는 정책들이 필요하다.

This paper models an educational theater program for prevention of prostitution as a way to improve the effectiveness of the preventive programs of juvenile prostitution at middle- and high- schools which have long been blamed for its cramming method of teaching. Given the fact that juvenile prostitution has been done mainly through smart phones and via online, it is clear that we need to focus on preventive programs and come up with countermeasures of the crime hiding in shadows. The compulsory prostitution prevention programs for more than one hour per year have been already institutionalized. However, many experts remain skeptical about the effectiveness of the programs which are widely regarded as a mere formality. We analyzed the current preventive programs by conducting literature reviews and interviews with field workers, developed educational theater programs for prevention of prostitution, and then demonstrated them at community child centers. Based on the results of demonstration, this paper develops an educational theater program for middle- and high- school classrooms which consist of seven acts. The program aims to reflect from a gender perspective upon the sex industry and the commercialization of sex which have taken root in our daily lives; to find ways to prevent the relapse into prostitution; to develop the self-assertion and judgment strongly enough to overcome temptation of prostitution; and to understand how to access to community support services in crisis situations. This paper also suggests that a gender-sensitive perspective is integral to the success of prostitution prevention programs for adolescents and new policies are necessary to block up various channels in everyday life that induces adolescents to step into prostitution.
