초등학교에서의 자살 사후개입 방안에 관한 연구

A Study on the Suicide Postvention at Elementary Schools

유명인이나 주변인의 자살은 남은 사람들에게 매우 크고 파괴적인 영양을 준다. 본 연구에서는 아동이 지각하는 죽음에 대한 인식을 고찰하고, 이를 토대로 초등학교 아동들에게 적용할 수 있는 자살 사후개입 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 죽음에 대한 아동의 인식을 연구한 문헌들을 고찰하였고, 또한 국내외 주요 학술 데이터베이스에서 자살 사후개입(suicide postvention)이라는 키워드로 관련 연구물과 프로그램을 검색하였다. 이를 통해 초등학교에서 자살사건이 발생했을 때 활용할 수 있는 한국형 초등학교 자살 사후개입 프로그램(Korean Postvention Program for Elementary school: KPPE)을 제시하였다. 특히, Roberts 등(1998)이 개발한 TEAM 접근법을 우리나라 상황에 맞게 재구성하여 현장에서의 활용도를 높이고자 하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구가 자살 사후개입에 지니는 의의와 제안점을 논하였다.

A close person's or celebrities' suicide has vast and devastating effects on suicide survivors. The purpose of this study was to develop a school-based postvention program especially designed for elementary schools. The literature on children's perceptions of death was reviewed, and Korean Postvention Program for Elementary school(KPPE), a school-based postvention program was proposed on the basis of the TEAM approach developed by Roberts et al.(1998). Limitations of the study as well as implications for practice and future research are discussed.
