중학생의 창의성과 Holland의 직업흥미, 학업성취도의 관계

Correlations of Creativity to Vocational Interest of Holland and to Scholastic Achievement for Junior High Pupils in Korea

본 연구는 통합창의성이론과 Holland의 직업흥미이론에 근거하여 중학생의 창의성에 따른 직업흥미의 관련성을 탐색하고 동시에 학업성취도와 어떤 관계가 있는가를 실증적으로 분석한 것이다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 직업흥미 수준에는 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 남자는 실재형이, 여자는 예술형, 사회형, 관습형이 높았다. 또한 학업성취도는 수학, 과학, 음악, 미술과목 모두 유의미한 높은 성취를 보였다. 둘째, 창의성, 직업흥미, 학업성취도간의 관계는 창의적동기와 창의적 능력이 직업흥미를 변별하는데 중요한 변인이었다. 직업흥미에 따라 탐구형, 예술형, 사회형의 학생들은 창의성의 하위요인들에 대하여 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 창의성과 학업성취도는 창의적 태도에서 과학, 음악, 미술 교과목과 높은 관련성을 보였다. 또 직업흥미와 학업성취도의 관계에서 탐구형/사회형/관습형은 수학, 과학, 음악, 미술과목 모두와 양의 상관관계를 보인 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 군집 분석 결과, 저창의성-저직업흥미형, 저창의성-고탐구관습형, 고창의성-고직업흥미형, 중창의성-고실재형, 저예술형, 중창의성-고예술형, 저실재형, 저관습형으로 군집이 분류되었으며, 군집을 통한 창의성과 직업흥미가 더욱 더 뚜렷하게 변별되었다. 넷째, 군집 간 학업성취도 분석에서는, 저창의성-고탐구관습형과 고창의성-고직업흥미형의 학업성취도가 높은 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 이는 관심과 흥미는 많은 것을 성취할 뿐 아니라 문제해결능력을 향상시키기 때문에 흥미와 창의성은 매우 중요한 관련성을 가지고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다.

This study is designed and implemented for searching the empirical relationship of creativity and vocational interest and finding out the correlation of that and scholastic achievement among junior high pupils in Korea, based on the theory of vocational interest of Holland. Especially, activating variables are creative, vocational interest and scholastic achievement. This study can gain the results as the following: Firstly, there is not any significant deviation empirically to the levels of creativities on the basis of gender but there is significant deviation to those of vacational interests. It is examined that male students have the tendence of high leveled of realistic type. On the other hand, it is proved that female ones have the value sense with high degrees of artistic type, social type and conventional type. Secondly, there are some empirical distinction of sub-factors of creativities on the conditions of vocational interest. That is, Two student types: seeker of investigative type and seeker of artistic type have the correlation with sub-factors as creative motive, creative attitude and creative except for openness but seeker of social network have the high leveled of correlation-ship with all sub-factors. The relationship of creativity and scholastic achievement are shown for that of three subjects: science, music and art under creative attitude. Thirdly, the result of cluster analysis are as follows: low creativity-low vocational interest, low creativity-high investigative conventional type, medium creativity-high substantiality/low art, medium creativity-high artistic type, low realistic type-low conventional type. This cluster analysis makes creativity and vocational interest distinguished clearly and plainly. Fourthly, there is clear discrimination of scholastic achievement among clusters. The low creativity-high investigative conventional type has the positive correlation of scholastic achievement and the high creativity-high vocational interest has the similar result to scholastic achievement individually.
