본 연구는 남자 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 과잉간섭적 양육태도와 도덕성의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 따른 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내신 점수에 의한 퀴즈 점수의 설명력을 획인하고자 독립 변수를 국어, 영어 점수로 투입하여 회귀 분석을 실시한 결과는 회귀 모형이 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타나 퀴즈 점수의 차이가 내신 점수에 따른 집단 차일 가능성을 배제하였다. 둘째 과잉간섭 수준에 따라 부정행위 여부가 다른지 알아보기에 앞서 퀴즈의 평균 점수에서 차이가 있는지 살펴보고자 과잉간섭 집단과 비교 집단 간 독립표본 t-검정을 실시한 결과 두 집단 간 차이가 유의미하였다. 과잉간섭 집단의 퀴즈 평균 점수는 비교 집단에 비해 약 5점 가량 높았다. 셋째, 퀴즈 평균 점수의 차이가 부정행위 여부로 인한 것인지 알아보기 위해, 실험 참여 학생들이 후속 설문에서 직접 자신의 행동에 대해 응답한 내용을 부정행위 여부에 대한 응답과 비교 분석한 결과, 과잉간섭 집단이 비교집단에 비해 부정행위를 하였다고 응답한 비율이 유의미하게 높았다. 즉, 부모의 과잉간섭수준이 높은 학생들이 부정행위를 더 많이 저질렀음을 보고하였다. 또한 부정행위를 통해 틀린 것을 맞은 것으로 보고한 문항의 개수를 집단 간 독립표본 t-검정을 통해 살펴보았을 때도 과잉간섭 집단의 부정행위 문항 개수가 비교 집단에 비해 유의미하게 많았다. 즉, 동일한 조건에서 도덕성을 평가하는 행위실험을 할 때, 부모로부터 과잉간섭을 받은 집단이 일반비교 집단보다 부도덕한 행위를 하는 경우가 유의미하게 높았다. 이러한 연구 결과는 두 집단 간의 퀴즈 점수의 차이가 결국 부정행위 여부, 즉 도덕성의 차이와 관계가 있다는 점을 보여주고 있다. 따라서, 남자 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 과보호적 양육태도와 도덕성의 관계에서 과잉간섭적 양육태도는 자녀의 도덕성에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과는 청소년기 자녀의 도덕성을 발달시키기 위해서 부모가 가정에서 어떠한 양육태도를 가져야 하는지를 의미하는 바가 크다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between intrusive child-rearing attitude of the parents and morality of students as perceived by male high-school students. After implementing a Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) on child-bearing attitude of parents with 609 10th and 11th grade students of an Autonomous Private High School (for male) that is located at Guro-gu, Seoul, as subjects. An experimental group on intrusiveness and a comparative group were selected with 30 students in each group using an intrusiveness scale. An identical quiz was carried out for the selected groups together with an experiment that consists of grading and submitting the score at the same time, and a comparison was made to find out how extensive the practice of cheating was in the test process through the quiz score. At the same time, a self-report type questionnaire survey was carried out that is intended to find out how extensive the practice of cheating was in the test process and to report the number of questions involved in the cheating after the implementation of the quiz test, to find out if there is any difference between the survey result and the quiz score. The result of the present research can be summarized as follows: First, when a regression analysis was carried out to check the explanatory power of the quiz score by way of the grade-point-average of the student involved by applying the scores of Korean language and English as independent variables, the regression model turned out to be not significant, suggesting that the gap with the quiz score is not very likely to reflect the group difference based on the grade-point-average. Second, when an independent samples t-test was carried out with the experimental group and the comparative group as targets to find out if there is any difference in the average score of the quiz before checking if the practice of cheating was affected by the level of parental intrusiveness, the difference between the two groups turned out to be significant. The average score of the quiz for the experimental group turned out to be higher by about 5 points in comparison to that of the comparative group. Third, to find out if the gap in average score of the quiz in the two groups is related to the practice of cheating, a subsequent questionnaire survey was carried out with the students who participated in the experiment with questions on their behavior, and their direct responses on the issue of cheating was analyzed. In the result, the ratio of students who admitted their cheating was significantly higher among students in the experimental group in comparison to the comparative group. That is, the result showed that the students with high level of parental intrusiveness have committed more cheating. An identical result was obtained when an independent samples t-test was carried out with the two groups as targets on the number of questions for which the students reported right answers when they were in fact wrong answers. The number of questions that involved cheating turned out to be significantly higher in the experimental group than in the comparative group. Based on these discoveries, the present research found out that intrusive child-rearing attitude of the parents has certain negative effects on morality of the students as perceived by male high school students involved.
