대학생 취업사교육의 취업 및 임금효과 분석

A Study on the Employment and Wage Effect of University Students' Private Education for Employment

본 연구는 교육경제학적 관점을 바탕으로 취업사교육의 효과성을 확인하기 위하여 대학생 취업사교육이 취업 및 임금에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위하여 2007GOMS1 자료를 활용하였으며, 취업 및 임금효과 분석을 위해 각각 로지스틱 회귀분석모형과 다중 회귀분석모형을 사용하였다. 취업사교육의 취업 및 임금효과 분석결과, 첫째, 영어ㆍ제2외국어 사교육과 각종 영어시험 사교육 참여는 첫 취업여부 및 임금에 유의한 영향을 나타냈다. 둘째, 취업사교육에 13개월 이상 참여한 집단이 참조집단과 비교하여 취업 및 임금에 유의한 영향을 보이는 것으로 확인 되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 대졸자 노동시장에서 외국어 실력이 높이 평가되고 있는 가운데 어학 관련 취업사교육은 노동시장 성과에 있어서 효과를 나타내고 있음을 보여준다.

Based on the view of Economics of education, this study is designed to examine the effectiveness of private education for employment through the analysis of the employment and wage effect of university students' private education for employment. The study has used the 2007 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) data to analyze the employment and wage effect of the university students' private education for employment. For the estimation method of the employment and wage effect, logistic regression model and multiple regression model have been used. The results of the study showed that the private education on second language had positive effect on the performance of labor market by indicating a consistent positive significant effect on the employment and wages. Moreover, when compared to referent group, participating in private education with more than 13 months showed a positive significant effect on the employment and wages. These findings indicate that the private education on second language has certain effect on the labor market outcomes since the competency in foreign language is a valued commodity in the labor market for university graduates.
